We set out to honor the rich history of Albany when we came up with our name and logo. Fort Orange was one of the earliest Dutch settlements in what is now Albany, New York.  The fort, pictured below, housed fur traders in the 1600s and was established by the West India Trading Company. Fast forward to the 1800s and Albany had become a brewing hub, home to many of the largest breweries in the country. The Fort Orange Brewery, alive until its sale in 1888, was located close to our current location.

Our logo is a representation of the original Fort Orange and pays homage to the rich history of our great city. Cheers!
